Can Calzaghe survive the constant agression of Michalczewski?

I don't think so, Michalczewski by TKO 10.

I would have to take Darius with some hesitation. Joe is faster and a better all around boxer. But he hasn't moved up and it might be for a reason. His frame seems like he could handle 75 well enough. But DM is a little underrated. Just because Roy would have iced him doesn't make him ass.

I'd pick DM without hesitation.

Cool, I thought y'all would pick Cal to win.

A prime DM would have beaten the shit outta Sloppy Joe.

Prime DM (from say 97-2000) would have been hell for Roy much less Joe. he had a firecracker right hand and a telephone pole jab. His chin was alos quality.

Don't think he would have given Jones hell and Calzaghe is being a little underrated overall. Seeing as he hasnt done anything at 75lbs though, im not gonna give him credit where its not due.

It's too bad we never found out. Every one who ever gave Roy problems (Hopkins, Griffin, Harding, Tarver) did it with a jab. DM had a stellar hard jab. As to Cal, I don't underestimate him. He and Dm would be a very good fight; I just favor DM's strength.

Really? Because Tarver wasnt that effective with his jab. He used it to some success but dude was patient as fuck and when he did have success it was on hard counters or flurrying. Harding had some success with his jab but I think it was as much do to a style matchup than anything else. Harding was tall and stayed away, Roy looked disinterested and was "slightly" more aggressive. Hopkins didnt find much success with his jab and I think the fight was as even as it was because Hopkins refused to give him anything to hit by opening up. His late success with via the right hand or lead right and his early round success wasnt very apparent.

Griffin id imagine again had some success with his jab and id say that this is somewhat accurate but it had as much or more to do with him fighitng out of the crouch and being extremely ackward. Dude was like 4'5" and was the aggressor, very seasoned and Roy had trouble hitting him as he once again fought a little soft.

Anyway, DM may have given him some trouble but I doubt itd have been hell. Man was too open to get hit (unlike the fighters you listed) and his style played into Jones hands (again unlike any of the fighters you listed). Whatever though.

Agreed on the DM - Jones call from Pickles. DM was handy, but did not have the variety of arsenal, or probably the speed, to give Jones anything close to hell. He may have caused some interesting moments if he managed to bull Jones around and catch him with a couple of heavy shots, but given that allied to the jab would pretty much be guaranteed to be his tactics, Jones would likely have prepared for 12 rounds of pot-shotting and moving.

Good One, Micha too strong, Calzaghe brave enough to not step back, Micha kos him.

This is at 175 and that is the difference maker.

Slappy Joe can fight. He may look akward and sloppy, but he has good power, excellent speed, and exceptional footwork.

DM is naturally bigger, naturally stronger, and a tough customer to boot.
I think he wears Joe down and stops him late.
