"Cotto has a good chin and a big heart. He’s a natural welterweight who hits hard and is also smart and fast. Pacquiao doesn’t hit hard enough to knock anyone out in the welterweight division. I’m basing that on my fight against Pacquiao. I could’ve stood there and put my face in front of him and he couldn’t have hurt me."
Wow. Oscar just loves picking against Mayweather and especially Pacquiao. Even when he is not promoting their opponent. And he's always discrediting them as well. Never just picking against them, but downgrading their wins over him. "Oh, I stopped jabbing against Mayweather", heaven forbid he was made to stop jabbing by Pretty Boy. "Oh, Pacquiao doesn't hit hard", let alone the state Pac-man left his face.
Do us a favor Oscar, go put your face in front of Pacquiao again sometime...

What a fag for being ok with Nacho throwing in the towel then. I've always reasoned that he looked on the verge of getting stopped while he was reeling around the ring and it was understandable that he didn't want anymore.
David Diaz also didn't think too highly of Manny's power, though he was made to look like he was going in for a bite out of the canvas.

Even with a great chin, he wouldn't have lasted 4 more rounds and he knew it. The accumulation was wearing on him and that's why he was ok with ending it. If he's talking about one punch power, cool yeah I see where he's coming from. Good thing Manny throws a lot of punches.

But he has given Pac credit on several occasions. He has stated Pac is the most difficult fighter he's ever faced..or something to that extent. Don't hold me to verbatim. The only flaw I see in his above statement is he made Pac's punching power sound like a tap on the shoulder. Clearly Pac isn't someone you take lightly, but it is true - he couldn't knock down DLH. And even if the fight had continued and he was able to KO DLH it would've come in the 9th round(?) or later which is rather late when DLH was wide open all night. It shouldn't take Pac that long to take a guy out when his power is considered second only to God's Tiger Uppercut.

I agree with DLH that Cotto is the smarter fighter.
Roach has made Pac more technical, but I still think Cotto will outbox him.
Pac doesn't fight like a wild man as much as he used to, but I think Cotto will take this 7 rounds to 5.
Pac can probably stun Cotto like Zab and Corley did briefly, but I doubt he'll KO him.
