Barrera went to war with Morales (an undisciplined face first warrior with little to no boxing skills) and lost to Junior Jones, hell Jones rocked him on his ass twice so theres no way Barrera's chin holds up to Hameds power.
Junior Jones couldnt punch his way out of a light sleep, Hamed would hurt him i have no doubt.
I got Barrera by decision but no way he stops Hamed, the guy was to durable and well, Barrera was prone to war with guys and we all know bad things can happen when you trade with Hamed. Barrera mixed it up with so many other fighters (Mckinney, Morales, Jones, Jaurez) the only scenario plausible is that he gets caught with Hameds fearsome speed and power and barely pulls this one out after getting knocked down.

This supposed to be about your prediction preceding the fight?

It's a joke at Cliff's expense. Not that I think it has much to do with a Naz-Morales fight. Barrera's success was built on his ability to stay disciplined and not trade punches with Hamed when he was landing his own stuff. Morales would never have been able to do this.
And yet still: Morales UD Naz.

No way Ali beats Foreman when that fight gets made either. Look at what Foreman did to the guys who beat Ali.
blah blah blah

I actually agree that Morales probably wins...but it's a lot harder for him than Barrera...because he was Morales and he couldn't help himself. That would give Hamed more than a punchers chance and he was a murderous puncher.

You need to throw in combination to get Morales out of there.
If Morales lacked a discipline, which would see him in trouble, Hamed's potential downfall was in his lack of activity. As said in the other thread, I have Morales getting off the deck early to out-gut him, culminating in a late stoppage through a close fight on the cards.

Yep. I think I may have even picked Naz when this was first proposed on the old boards forever ago. I'm more inclined to think Morales backs Hamed off often enough with his own combination and punching power to stay in control of the fight, but people forget what kind of power Naz packed. There's not a featherweight in history who warred with him that I wouldn't give him a chance against.

Morales would fire back the second Nas connected. He could certainly stun Erik, and he would regret it moments later.

Morales was a good bit tougher than MAB.

Not the dirty motherfucker MAB was, that's for sure.

I'd give MAB the edge on the inside, that's about it.

Marco was more calculating, he used Erik's rage against him head to head. But I don't see any evidence that MAB was a tougher out for common opponents. Ask Pac & Junior Jones.
It's easy to say that Morales wouldn't be as smart against Hamed. Violence is smart for Erik.

This really comes down to balls. Remember, Erik has about 9 pairs.

Naz was ballsy too. His dancing, and pre madona antics were part of his mind games, he wanted guys to slug it out with him, it gave him a chance to counter.

Barrera has a puncher's chance. Anyone who digs to the body like Barrera can't be completely counted out. But I figure this is a poor man's Darchinyon-Arce. Once Hamed establishes his reach advantages and southpaw stylings, Marco will have no way of getting inside without facing massive, concussive, tissue-tearing, discombobulating blows.
