In Rocky 4 after the 2nd round when Rocky cuts Drago and he's gearing up for the 3rd already battered and him and his trainer are going back and forth saying "no pain, no pain, no pain" "take it to him, take it to him!!" and he gets off his stool and the great music montage begins.

Woooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!

you missed the best quote of that scene.

it's when his trainer says "you see! you see! he's not a machine! he's a man"

and then they show drago tell his cornermen "he's not human"

woooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!

i remember watching that in the theater in downtown l.a. and the people in the theater were acting like it was a damn real fight. people were yelling and cheering for rocky to kick his ass. definitely one of my most memorable movie experiences ever.

makes me want to watch it now LOL

I wish I could've seen it in theatres. I had to wait until it was on video and I must've rented it like 43 times from our local video rental spot.

Edit: btw, Rocky 4 has some of the best montages EVER. yes, EVER.

laugh.gif The training scenes are also great montages.

That Staying Alive montage with Far From Over ranks up in the top 5 of best montages eva as well. A Stallone always seems to be involved in great montages. Frank sang the song and Sylvester directed the flick.

Rocky running up the stairs during his training has to be up there in terms of best scenes. For all genres of movies, not just boxing. Everyone has seen someone running up a big set of stairs like that and raising their hands in the air, after that came out.

This is the opposite of my favorite scene. It plays out like a game of Fight Night Round 3.

Rocky's speech to Adrian after she tells him he can't win from Rocky IV. Been looking for that shit on youtube forever.

In Rocky 1 when Rocky gets up in round 14 and Apollo looks over, glances down at the floor, and steps back into the fray. Gets me every time.

Any Duke screaming from the Rockys.

Never mind... I missed the word boxing in the title.
