More recognition needs to be seen for one of the greatest actors of all time.

One of the most underrated villians ever. Probably my favorite movie from childhood.

"Now they will learn why they are afraid of the dark. Now they will know why they fear the night"

Conan largely gets remembered for Arnold swinging a sword and cussing at Krom, but James shined in a badass wig, with a badass set of henchman, as a silky smooth almost pimp-like cult leader and sorcerer.

IPB Image
The Kings daughter was powerless against a pimp game like this. Gave Conans mom a look like this then cut her head off for no apparent reason. Excellent.

And

Without him, you have no Darth Vader. An argument could be made that his voice made the entire franchise what it was. Certainly without him it was just a silly science fiction tale with good special effects for its time. With him, its a science fiction tale with the greatest villian of all time. (well, him or Hannibal Lector)

Even represented as a cartoon lion and the King of Zumunda.

What you got?

Also, under-discussed badasses are welcome in this thread. James was just the first i could think of.

Don't forget he led the US Tae Kwon Do team to a landslide moral victory over the shady Koreans.

If it wasn't for Coach Kuzo, Tommy would have been murdered by Dae Han just like his brother.
Congressman Facquiao
He also taught C. Thomas Howell a thing or two about race relations as a no nonsense law professor.

I was gonna be Dae Han for halloween this year but I thought of it too late and couldn't locate a proper gi. Next year it's either Dae han or Kato from the Green Hornet.
pocoroba
He gave one of the great movie speeches of all time in Field of Dreams.

Don't forget he was also the cool blind guy in the Sandlot, that's range!
They call me Dirk
Last I saw of him was an episode of House. He was a dictator forcing some peasant chick to give her blood for him and daring some doctor bitch to kill him. After a brief yet intense stare down...she backed off. She probably saw Conan as a kid.
Proboscis
James Earl Jones is great, badass for sure, but I don't ever recall him being the lead in much... shame.
glockw0rk
He was also great in Matewan.

Definitely an underrated badass.

DangerDong, I have to admit I don't spend any time giving respect to JEJ but I will after reading your excellent summary and analysis. Solid. fridaysmllk5.gif

Just noticing that while other badasses were welcomed, nobody mentioned any.

You could take that as an indicator of his badass-ness.

Hell yeah, this guy is in EVERYTHING.

His best scene is in Die Hard when he's surveying the hallway, machine gun in hand, when he spots the free candy. In the next scene he's munching on a KitKat. Or was it a Crunch bar?

Luis is definitely an under-recognized badass.

Luis was also in a Miami Vice episode. Yes, I rewatched the first two seasons when the DVDs came out about five years ago.

Nice to see the thead taking off. Very good entries so far as well. Al Leong is definately under the radar.

Also i feel like he should be in this thread.

First black dude i ever saw that carried a scary movie. And If for nothing else, Candyman alone was one of the best horror movies ive ever seen. Seriously, go back and watch it. NO stereotypes and hollywood cliches or endings to be found here. Just raw shit. Disregard the sequels, cant blame him for cashing in.

Also everything hes in, he manages to be either badass or creepy as shit (his face was made for scary movies imo).
