If you were say, stranded on a desert island, and you could only take the complete works of ONE singer/band/musical artist/etc for the rest of your life, who would you go with?
I'd go with the 1950s-70s Bollywood playback singer Mohammed Rafi. Large and varied corpus (literally thousands of songs recorded) & imo one of the best voices of the 20th century.
Stevie Wonder without a shadow of doubt. When the mothership comes to get me, my backpack will be full of Stevie Wonder's albums.
If I could only listen to one of his songs, it would be his performance of 'I was made to love her' on Live at the Talk of the Town, recorded in 1970. I've never heard anything like it and when you turn up the speakers and close your eyes, it feels like your there live. Awesome.

Holy shit, welcome back.
Rather predictably it would have to be Bill Withers.
Anythings gonna get a bit boring after a while... maybe somebody has done a disc on how to build a boat from fuck all to get you off the island§.

Hey loaded....good to see you around, dudeman.
Hmmmm? The quintessential "stuck on an island" question. I've pondered this a gazzillion times and I've probably changed it a good handful of em'.
For sheer volume of music that I never get tired of hearing, probably Jethro Tull.

Ian Anderson, second most famous former pupil of my school.
For me, Paul Simon, although I am feeling Stevie Wonder. Insert your own gag here. Which is what he might be doing, actually.
I'll stop now, this is getting wrong.

Steve Wonder comes to mind first. Maybe Bob marley, since it's an island and all. Does this island have weed on it?

I don't know that I could narrow it down to just one artist or band.
If I absolutely had to, I might say Tool.

Pink Floyd definitely for an island.
Would go with Metallica if it was a backdrop with a darker vibe.

The Beatles are the only correct answer. I don't even need a desert island. If I listened to nothing but the Beatles for the rest of my life my music enjoyment would probably only go down about 10%. And Radiohead is like 8% of that.
In a thread with only like fifteen responses we've already got two for The Weakerthans?! Wtf.
