Ike vs. Miguel. Jab vs. jab...
I think Ike wars early but his chin gets him in trouble around the 8th or 9th and Cotto stops him. I also think Miguel is forced to retire afterwards because Ike jabs his nose off.

Ike is all wrong for Cotto IMO. Too strong and has that devastating jab. He would freeze Cotto with some of those jabs alone. I dont like the way Miguel reacts after getting drilled.
I think Quartey stops him in the mid rounds.

I think Cotto lasts the distance, & scores a knockdown at one point, but I do expect Quartey's jab to, in the end, dictate the fight for stretches which simply prove too long in the end.
Quartey by competitive, but clear, UD (Along the lines of Mosley-De La Hoya I).

Quartey had a very good right hand and very underrated speed. Not good for Miguel

Quartey`s jab was one of the best in history at any weight class. It was like a harpoon. He would destroy Cotto by the middle rounds, too much activity , power jabs followed by a right hand that means business.

Ike pretty easily. That jab would land at will and bust Cotto up. He also had a very good right hand behind it. The WW were very good in the 90's.

Man, fuck you guys for all these MM's where Cotto gets his ass kicked.
Cotto probably loses here.

Quartey would be my bet in this matchup. Great action fight though.

Cotto is always open down the middle. Fighters with good jabs and uppercuts will eat Cotto up. Ikes jab was one of the best in the sport. Ike would pound Cotto into submission with his jab alone. Ike would also land a few good left hooks ( just like he did to DLH) to keep Cotto off him. Ike by late TKO.
