stop making me jealous.
it's a little chilly here, enough to make me wear a sweater on my walk to work, but nothing to get excited about.
it's been pretty cold in the evenings- I actually had to turn the heater on last night.
High's supposed to be 54, low is 39.

I would be happy if I never saw the mercury fall below 85 degrees the rest of my life. Today I am wearing a sweatshirt over a long-sleeved shirt, and fingerless gloves so I can type. It's warmer outside than in. I hate air conditioning during the winter, but with all the computer equipment, we have to keep it pretty cool inside. I'm tempted to order myself a small floor heater for under my desk.

Vladdy what you need to do is hook up with a Fattie and take her back home with you. At night when you guys go to bed you can use one of her fat rolls as blanket. This is the only time of the year when its good to have a Fattie around.

No offense, BatKitty, but I'm always going to remember that quote.
"Global warming .... doesn't make everything warm". (talk about a mislabeled theory!!)
I'm in that camp that believes that past ice ages, and previous earth's warmings for the last billion years or so ago did in fact happen, without dinosaurs driving around in their SUV's and in fact, will happen again.
Nature's impact on climate change will happen regardless of what man does. (warming or cooling)
Does anyone remember in the late 70's or early 80's there was a huge fear of an impending ice age?
Leading that charge was one notable scientist up here in Canada who is now leading the Global Warming brigade.
And, yes, I know, I am about to recieve a torrent of angry reponses all telling me we are doomed.
However, I will say that the weather is definately more fucked up with weirder weather than it was the last few decades.

I hope you DO remember it, but not for the reason you have right now. I'm no "doom" prophecy person. However, I completely understand cause and effect, and know that while the earth has cycles, adding immense amounts of carbon dioxide to the atmosphere alters those cycles, inevitably. Not that our generation will really have to deal with it, and of course that is all most people care about -
will it affect me directly? No? Then fuck it.Saying that artificially polluting every aspect of the environment and running through natural resources like they are infinite can't and won't lead to eventual consequences, is the exact same sort of mindset that led to the extinction of many species.
