You're just jealous. The Fins have the Tuna now. Henne will be ready by then. that is a blowout. The biggest threat is gonna be losing twice to the sorry ass Browns. we also have the Raiders at home. that could be tricky. But as long as Flucko is in there. we can flourish where your boys failed.

Playing the AFC South & the NFC East helps the cause.
crold1
I still and always love the Raiders...but Tampa picked up Clifton Smith for their practice squad and the Rams picked up Ricky Manning period so both teams interest me. I've known both too long to ever root against.

I saw they named Joe Flacco the starter. How did Smith look in pre-season?

Yeah, I was wondering the same thing. I read that Smith was projected to be the starter until he got der infected tonsils.

He only played about 3 quarters. I wanted him to play. we would have been bad anyway. But I'd like to see him get a chance. Flucko is trash. Our line is awful so Flucko should be hurt soon enough. Hopefully Troy goes in before harrington.
BANNY THE ANGRY
My boy got cut from the Cardinals on Saturday. Fuck. He had a great pre-season and proved he can play in the league but he had no money invested in him and the other safety just got a multi-million dollar contract. Detroit and New Orleans are interested but it's late.
THE LIFTRIX DIRRELL
I hope he gets picked up by someone, I really do.
Mike Quartey
I've got the New York Giants this Thursday, can't wait.

I think the redskins will suck.

Dynamic Hispanic
Tampa Bay Buccaneers can win anywhere from 8 to 12 games.

Their schedule is kind of soft, and the tough teams they play they get at home, so they have a shot in those games, too.

Their road games out of their division are against the shitty Chiefs and Broncos, yes.

Also, Earnest Graham is a fucking stud. That guy never loses yards, which is something most people don't even think about when they look at running backs. He always at least gains 2. He doesn't break the big gain as much, but I would rather have him consistently getting 4 yards than getting gains of 12, 5, 0, -4, 6, 3, -5 all game. Fuck that shit.

I hope the whole Favre thing didn't fucking piss Jeff Garcia off to the point of where he plays shitty. He played awesome last year and I hope to God he doesn't get hurt or fuck up so we get stuck with Brian Griese.

The defense looks as solid as it ever has the last few years. The Bucs are just tremendous talent evaluators on defense. Greg White they got from like the Arena Football League and he makes like 300k a year and is a natural raw pass rusher. He had a lot of sacks last year for being his first opportunity to really play in the NFL. Barrett Ruud is slowly becoming a stud at linebacker and always finds a way to pile up tackles. Jermaine Phillips was fantastic last year. Tanard Jackson, a late second day pick, made a huge difference as a rookie. Gaines Adams is getting some experience and considering he was a first round pick by Tampa Bay on defense, there is no way he doesn't become a Pro Bowler. Their linebacking corps of Brooks-June-Ruud is pretty fucking good, although Brooks will be taking more plays off this year. I wish we could have signed John Lynch for a little money because he is one of the smartest guys in the NFL and could really help out with this young defense.

Also, although they overpaid for Jeff Faine, they really needed a good addition to the offensive line which was their weak point the last four to five years or so, ever since the Super Bowl win. Ever since Jeff Christy retired, center has been a tough spot.
Mike Quartey
Also the Ravens announced Flacco will start, so, I am going against my earlier pick and switching to Bengals. The line has also moved this way--Cincy is now -1.5

Lions -3 looks solid.

The Cowboys line has moved from 4 to 5.5, and the Browns might be a team that should be underdogs at home to no one. Then again, they also might be a big disappointment. I feel that their secondary cannot stop TO, Witten, and Crayton, but I don't think I'm going to make a big play.

I also think the Seahawks are a super bowl contender and will beat the Bills in week 1.

Man, those are all road teams. I also could get taken to the cleaners....but, that's the NFL.
BigBENisGod
Pittsburgh Steelers are my team in the AFC.

St Louis Rams in the NFC. I think the Rams can improve alot from last year. They had so many injuries. Howie Long`s son should be very good. Bulger is a good accurate QB but the OL gotta stay in it.
Smokin` Joe Frazier
New Orleans Saints baby!!!

Tampon Bay is going down Sunday.
Muttley85
almost time, the NFL are showing the pregame show and the game itself live on their website http://www.nfl.com/kickoff

Giants are looking strong. This surprises me greatly.

This is fundamentally true.
Gatti Forever
I don't think the G-Men looked good so much as the Redskins just looked fucking awful, couldn't stop shit on defense and couldn't get shit going on offense. Hell, take away Campbell's garbage time passing yards and he would of finished with under 100 yards passing...Dude has a cannon for an arm but that doesn't really mean shit when you have zero composure in the pocket.

Eli is lucky he only finished with 1 pick, he was decent but some of his passes looked really forced.

Brandon Jacobs & Plaxico Burress are fucking beasts though.
Street Cred Certified
plaxico had a big game for me in one of the leagues im in.

Will we ever see Willie Parker lose a race to a human?

The fact that he cant hang on to the ball might be a problem though.

HD tv was made for sports!

Pittsburgh picked up a guy named Bruce Davis from UCLA. He is a great situational passrusher. The kind of guy that can cause alot of havoc.

wow the falcons are a bit of a suprise
BigBENisGod
Pennington is at least gonna have to try and go down the field or least over the middle because that dink and dunk isnt going to work unless you can make them at least respect that threat.

It might not be all Pennington`s fault. Im not sure how fast Miami`s recievers are.

War Dolphins.

Looks like Brady left the game with a foot injury. Pretty sure the same foot that has been nagging him. Oh well.

Actually it was a knee injury to the opposite leg.

I was talking to my boy yesterday and was saying how much the Colts & pats roll the dice not upgrading their backup QB's. Manning may go down tonight and they both will be fucked.

I'm pissed I didn't go.

I'm confused by the Patriots refusing to give the ball to Maroney regularly. He had 3 carries in the 1st quarter, and very nearly broke two big ones. Give him the fucking ball, Belichick.

I didn't catch any preseason, how is McFadden doing?

EDIT: Hey, this Favre kid is pretty good. He may have a future.

(EDIT 2, after the fumble): Nevermind.
holeymoley99
I have had that debate countless times on the Colts board, some Colts fans (not many but some) refuse to objectively look at anything including the FACT that Jim Sorgi sucks and there is a real need to at least have a QB with some real NFL expierence just in case the unthinkable happens. Now more then ever with Peyton's infection problem. Joey Harrington,Daunte Culpepper,Tim Rattay all would be huge upgrades and could at least produce wins. I am not a risk taker but Bill Polian is and so far he has been lucky but eventually the numbers catch up with you, hopefully not this year though.
PWillIsGod
I am amazed that Sorgi is in the NFL at all. He really wasn't very good in College.

Andy dropped his yearly f-bomb.

You must be really angry; you never swear. Is he on your fantasy team?

PWillIsGod
I should have bet more on Buffalo. It was my top pick of the week and I only went $50.
