Denver and San Diego will be in a mediocre footrace to see who takes the AFC west with an 8-8 record.

What's killing me is how talented our squad is, and yeah, saying that has gotten really old the past few seasons...but it's true. Who's to say we don't wind up losing a few key players if Norv gets fired and we got right back to the 4-12 type of team we were a handful of seasons back? I mean, it's nice to have a presence like LT on the line and it's a good distraction, but they're overplaying a guy that's 1. hurt and 2. getting banged around even more with a quickness. At this point he's just not gonna last much longer.
Our defense without Merriman is one thing and it's gonna suffer no matter what, but we have so many weapons on offense that we really don't need to run LT or toss to him every other play.
At this point I'd kill to have Crappenheimer back.
I can't feel nostalgic about Shittenheimer, that's just trading one toxic moron for another.
Shitty is certainly a better coach than Norv, but he was GUARANTEED FAILURE in the playoffs.
Personally, I'd rather know I was fucked halfway through the season than get exited for the playoffs only to have the curse bite me on the ass.

I doubt Cowher would ever come to SD. He is BFFs with Schottenheimer. The problem wasn't Marty, the problem is AJ. Norv isn't helping any.
AJ has an eye for on the field talent, other than that he should keep his fat, greasy fingers out of the Charger pie.
The Chargers owners let AJ get too much power. They need to hire a strong coach to handle all the on field stuff and then sit AJ and the new coach down and tell them to play nicely or hit the fucking road.

The Saints switched to a London hotel Friday afternoon. The team did not immediately return calls or e-mails seeking coment.
National Football League spokesman Michael Signora, who is in London, said the league will not comment on the reports.

"Most of them tested positive for Bumetanide," said the league source, according to Fox 31-Denver. "The last few tested positive for another substance that works similarly."

Bumetanide is a drug belonging to a group of medicines called loop diuretics or "water pills." Its uses include the treatment of fluid retention and swelling caused by medical conditions such as congestive heart failure, liver disease, and kidney disease, Fox 31-Denver reported.
