Im a Vette guy but I think the Viper has the edge in looks.

I've always thought the C5 looked better than the C6 Vettes. Don't know why, really.

This is my ride a 2002 Z.

I keep it for nice weekend days. I got a $1,900 ticket in it a few years back and that cooled me down on the speeding. I am thankful for it in a way.

A Twin Turbo V12? Wow. That car must have 800 horsepower.

Question because I don't know shit about cars: Dude in my neighborhood has a Nissan Skyline. It looks like it's about 10 years old. The driver's side is on the right side of the car. Aren't those things illegal in CA (emissions and whatnot)?

Very fast.

It's quite heavy compared to modern cars, but but the power it has makes up for it. The engine is modified so it's faster than the original version but also drinks a lot more petrol.

There's no smog here. Very clean air. My only worry is petrol prices, which mean I don't drive this car too often.

Not having to deal with Smog is nice. I bought an `80 Vette about 6 years ago and planned on dropping a 427 in it. At that time California had a rolling exemption that was back to `75 and older. Then they killed the Rolling exemption and stopped it at that year.

I could only fix it up to a certain extent. I dropped major $ in it as far as looks are concerned but it was still slow.

Emissions in California are very strict but we dont have an inspection like some other states. In PA for example they check the whole car out...brakes, turn signals etc.

In Cali they dont care if you have wheels as long as you burn clean.

I think the Japanese Skyline had crumple zone/crash requirements that it couldn't get around as well. I've only seen them on the track, and have never seen one on the road.

Yeah I love Muscle Cars too. The old Buick GS was a pretty cool Muscle as well that wasnt as well known. Nobody thinks about Buick when they think of performance but those things were pretty damn quick. I think they were close to as fast as the old Hemi`s.

On the Mopar side I always loved the stance of the original Challenger.

Teslas are gay. Okay, not gay, but derivitave..straight up they lifted the body work, nothing like cutting edge batteries and have a sky high price. I'd take a Fisker IF I was in that kind of market (which I'm not).

What car mags do y'all get? Car mag subscriptions just fully get given away on the regular on freestufftimes. I get Car & Driver, Motor Trend, Automobile, Autoweek, Road & Track...none of which I pay for.

Help me buy a new car? Okay, I have to be able to put in a minimum of two adults, two kids, two dogs (weighing about 140lbs) and it has to be able to tow at least my 2200lb pop up trailer and it must have AWD or 4WD. Gas mileage is important. I'd love to buy something less than 5 years old and spend no more then 20K. I have my own list of vehicles on my radar, but give me ideas/suggestions.

We got a call one morning to respond to a cat caught in a car.

turned out it was sleeping in the engine of a van and when the guy started it up to go to work, the cat got all tangled up in the fan belt.

One leg was savagely mangled yet it was still fighting like a bastard when we tried to free it. Had to put gloves and a tunic on because it was still trying to fight and bite.

We finally got it out and it hobbled in to the garden. So we took it back to the station and euthanised it. Tough cat.
