O RLY?

Weird...no wires yet they showed they can power a 60 watt light bulb. What they used uses more energy than new laptops. This sounds pretty cool mang.
Congressman Facquiao
you're so dumb you tripped over an Intel wireless power system.

Years ago I would joke about this. Wow. This would be a remarkable leap in technology.

Yeah...I guess they're using magnetic systems to achieve this...however...since it is magnetic, will that mean we'll all have to change over to pay pass credit cards and non-magstrip technologies?

In theory, this has been around since 1892 and invented by Nikola Tesla. It's my understanding from what i've read that he actually demonstrated it at the 1902 world fair.

I looked it up and found a couple documents about fuelless generators and wireless energy transmitters, good stuff.

I think it was even before Tesla that wireless power was "invented".

However, the difference here, and correct me if I'm wrong, is that this is done with magnetic fields, not electric, so the human body isn't effected.

BTW...Wacom has the patent on wireless energy via RF waves. All their drawing tablets utilize it...which is why there are no batteries in their pen units.
