The greatest time of the year is fast approaching.

What happens this year?

My Irish will work their way back to mediocrity.

I can see a two-loss SEC team playing for the BCS.

UCLA will have 48 walk-ons after all their injuries.

Illinois takes another step forward.
glockw0rk
the only thing worse than college sports is Jones/Calzaghe.

With that said, I leave you in peace for another year of useless wankery.

USC beats Ohio State. Mustain never sees the field at USC this year unless mop-up for Sanchez and Corp.

Irish still lose to Michigan and lose Beer Olympics.

I can see a 2 loss SEC team again, it won't be Georgia. I am picking Oklahoma to win the title, for now.

Not sure about Illinois. Without Mendenhall, more pressure on shaky QBs to win games.

holeymoley99
My man Chase Daniel finally wins the Heisman and Mizzou captures the national title which they were 1 game away from playing for last season.

Tim Tebow has another solid season but his stats dip just a bit. Georgia wins the SEC.

B.C. shocks many by winning the ACC behind the running of Freshmen of the year Josh Haden, if you dont know who this kid is you will before long.

Wisconsin wins the Big 10 behind P.J. Hill even without a top notch QB,Michigan struggles.

Arizona State lead by Rudy Carpenter upends USC to win the Pac 10.

Shaun King keeps the all time single season NCAA QB rating for at least 1 more season.

i think the Irish will beat the wolverines, i cant see michigan winning more than 6 games.

agree on Illinois they wont be on the same level they where last year.

USC dont have the team on paper they had last year but i think the other teams in the pac10 arent as strong as last year, except Arizona State who they get at home. So i could see them going undefeated and making it to a BCS title game.

Chris Wells probably runs Tebow closest for the heisman
PWillIsGod
sanchez is not good. SC will lose to the Buckeyes.

The SEC continues to dominate but I am not sure a team can make it out unscathed. I think Tressell wins it this year.

I can't wait.

Bump. Let's leave the Olympics thread alone.

Season starts tonight!

USC versus Oklahoma in the National Championship Game.

The SEC takes a one year break from being the best conference because of the amazing depth of quarterbacks in the Big 12.

now we're talking. buckeyes take the title home this year, and that's not just b/c i'm alum.. this time.
PWillIsGod
South Carolina sucks. There is one strike against the SEC. It will still be by far the best conference. I really like Cullen harper. I am pretty pumped to watch him Saturday.
TimC
Alabama is on the way up. Finally. Watch out for Julio Jones.

I think we have a more than reasonable chance of beating Clemson. They always tend to blow it anyway.
MRX1983
Looking forward to Bama vs Clemson. Should be a good game.

No miracle for App. State this yr. LSU wins 42-3 biggrin.gif
PWillIsGod
This white guy for Stanford is a monster running the ball. this is a real good game. The pac 10 should be a lot better this year. Though SC will be a little down imo.

You're trying to bait Nameless back huh? biggrin.gif

Yeah I'm not buying the Mark Sanchez hype

LOL, I was just texting with nameless. I said Sanchez was ass when he played last year. they will still be an excellent team. But I see 3 losses.
mpar1
If you watch long enough you still see something new every now and again. Oregon State just threw a backwards pass (lateral) that bounced into the end zone and out the side for a safety. I have never seen that happen.
PWillIsGod
Brando was all over that.
TimC
Is the spread for Florida-Hawaii really only 13? Heard that on the radio this morning. I haven't bet in a while but Florida should be able to name their score pretty much. Especially at home.

Missouri-Illinois, and Alabama-Clemson are not bad for the first week.

I wish my we got that here, my online bookie has 34.5 which seems about right.

This is a great post.

I think Michigan State is going to be the sleeper this year in the Big 10, and the Illini will slip a notch. And Ferentz might get fired this year if Iowa doesn't go to a bowl.

Good man! And Beanie Wells takes the Heisman.
MRX1983
East Carolina looking good against Virginia Tech. Theyre down 2 with like 4 mins left.

Also bad news for Buckeyes fans, looks like Beanie Wells is injured. Not sure how serious it is though
dread
Illinois has too many tough games on the road. 8-4 would be very good given the sched.

I was at the Cubs game the other night and I was explaining to a local how Pitt football was doomed, and he told me that Chicagoans have an "irrational hatred of Dave Wannestadt"

Ahem
PWillIsGod
LOL, Jimmy Johnson is probably the most overrated coach in history. great collector of talent. But Norv & dave are two gigantic buffoons.

War Wolverines!!!!!!!!!!!
BaldBull
Cotdamn SC looks good. angry.gif
PWillIsGod
Michigan doesn't. I didn't expect much. But a white tailback is completely unacceptable. Unless they can hijack that guy from Stanford.
Quagmire
Crazy ending to the East Carolina/Virginia Tech game.

Michigan looks like poo.

West Virginia isn't doing too well against Villanova.

They are lucky not be getting slaughtered.
TimC
There are not many things as enjoyable as watching Michigan look horrible.

U.S.C's defense is good, not a news flash really. Still not convinced totally by their offense.
Quagmire
I hope Utah blows out Michigan in the second half.

They are going to. I don't know that my Cornhuskers will be any better. And I know the ravens suck. I better win a lot of chips this year to make up for this personal nightmare.

I think Nebraska will be better this year. The real test will be how good they can recruit. Last years class was rated number 8 in the Big 12 by Rivals. That can be blamed on some late decommitments after the coaching change but they will have to really pick it up to keep up with the rest of the Big 12 North.
TimC
Nebraska's defense literally can't get any worse and Gans isn't a bad quarterback. I haven't looked at their schedule so this could be totally wrong but I wouldn't be shocked if they won 6 or 7 games.

Their schedule is very soft. They have 8 home games and their first five games are at home. They have three give me non conference games so about 6 wins sounds right.

I'm sure it's Lloyd Carr's fault

LSU?
They fit that mold and tend to be in the mix most years. The SEC is home to the most physical teams.

It is going to be a tough year. The QB situation is horrible. These guys wouldn't be getting a sniff in a normal year. The turnovers are unacceptable.

I was just about to say that he would like an SEC team. The level of defensive football played in the SEC is incredible and no other conference even comes close.

Michigan is only down by two now. It should be a great ending to the game.

Yeah, the tables have turned on Utah. This Mc Guffie guy looks pretty fast for a white guy.
