TCU-Utah is the game of the day, never thought I'd see the day when that was true.... War TCU !

And war Ohio State stomping Iowa and coming to the Rose Bowl!

There was a day in the 90s when Utah and Col. State were both top tewn late in the year...neither finished there. The winner here almost certainly will.
pocoroba
Is the TCU-Utah game on national TV? I can't find a goddamn listing for it anywhere.

I didn't see anything on it. Maybe it's on Versus?

War Utah!

It's listed on CBSC, I don't even know what channel that is. Here is a stream. I ordinarily wouldn't post a stream on the board. But the networks obviously don't care enough to bother televising it.

I mean I'm far from a mid major fan, but shame on ABC. Pitt/ND & Texas Tech/Oklahoma st?

TCU is far from a mid-major team right now. wink.gif

And we go up on Nevada 7-0...good start! The nation's leading rusher in on ESPN360. smile.gif

Stanford handling USC so far, actually not surprised really at all.

If I was Michigan I would go after Harbaugh before Les Miles. Didn't he piss off some Michigan people though by saying something bad about the program?
crold1
DAMN...we just lost Matthews...and then Colburn throws a "Hey, this game is close, I need to get picked" pick as we drive before the half down ten.

Mr. reliable.

USC is a joke this year, that's at least something enjoyable during this subpar season.

I don't know anyone that's made money betting on college football this year. Been that kind of season--I thought OSU would smoke Iowa today. Good thing I only put $20 on it.

I think I am up on the year, marginally. I was going to take Iowa, but didn't trust the green QB. I just mean the games have been predominantly dull.
Dobie Gillis
I'm glad my squad got sonned AGAIN. Hopefully these fake ass LA USC fans will jump off the bandwagon and I can conversate with people who love college football. Again and I said this about LA fans before...WE SUCK especially if one of our teams is winning.
crold1
Fresno...oh.

Now I can root for Miss. State to pull an upset. Go TCU!
Salvy_Mic
So who are we looking at to get BCS bids? Florida, Alabama, and Texas, for sure. Ohio St. is coming to Pasadena, and the Pac 10 is still up for grabs. Big East winner is gonna be either Cincinnati or Pittsburgh. Georgia Tech should win the ACC. And then, of course, TCU and Boise St.

Florida
Alabama
Texas
TCU
Boise St.
Ohio St.
Cincinnati/Pittsburgh
ACC Champ - probably Georgia Tech
Pac 10 Champ - probably Oregon

That leaves one at-large. I think they should bend the rules and let LSU in if they keep winning, because there really is no other team anywhere near as good as them from another conference. I'd have figured USC would get an at-large, but happily, they got smoked, so they're out. Honestly, if Pittsburgh beats Cincinnati and wins the Big East, Cincinnati should still get in themselves regardless.
crold1
It's only one half, but is it still a knock on Boise to struggle with LaTech?

never thought id be saying this but WAR UTAH!!!

TCU 28 Utah 7...Utah's only loss in their last 22 is by a touchdown to Oregon.

They might not get a chance to prove it, but this might just be the best team in the country right now (barring a massive Utah comeback). LOL

Ooops...make that 35-7.

The same number as Texas.

They've defeated more rated opponents than Texas (and Florida) too.

In fact, their SOS should pass Texas tonight too.

Oh, okay. So then TCU and Texas are after tonight equal with TCU arguably having the edge since BYU beat Oklahoma. And, hey, you said top ten. Texas and TCU = 0. Florida = 1...their only rated foe of the year when they played them.

No argument about Cincy...good team. TCU would beat them but that's another argument. Not sure TCU beats Texas, Bama or Florida...not sure those teams beat them either...those are all games.
TimC
Nice to have Alabama roll and not have a nail biter.

TCU's legit, they are a legit opponent in the NC game. Where I don't want to play them is if we lose to Florida and get stuck in the Sugar Bowl again. Although we should be motivated if anything cause of the Utah game. I would rather play Texas in the championship game but I don't think Texas is noticeably better than TCU.
holeymoley99
Heisman

1)Kellen Moore- 2,558 PYD 32/3 TD/INt . First in the nation in TD's, first in QB rating, unbeaten team.

2)Mark Ingram- 1,297 rush yd, 10 tds. 7th yards per game, tied 25th td's unbeaten team.

Obvious number 1 as Moore could end up having highest QB rating ever though it would take a push (183.3 King vs 172.5 Moore) in remaning games.

Ingram's lack of td's a concern for his campaign.

In a down year there are no other options as Claussen lost again yesterday as did Keenum. McCoy's td/int ratio is too bad for serious consideration (19/9) and 2nd worst season of his career. Florida kid struggled once again with 1 td and under 200 yards (12 tds for the season which is not in the top 50).
PWillIsGod
Maybe he can share king's Heisman?

The Mountain west deserves an automatic bid at this point.

I'm just praying for an upset in the Big 3 somewhere...I want to KNOW how good TCU is. The separation between TCU, the big 3, and everyone else, is distinct at this point.
TimC
It would be embarrassing if Moore won it really, he had another huge game yesterday against another horrible team. Who cares? It doesn't matter though cause it won't happen.

McCoy will win cause some idiots in the south and east will take some votes away from Ingram and give them to Tebow because he's a really wonderful person.

LOL I'm still talking about the Heisman. Hell I've gotten to the point where I actually care about it, its about time somebody from Alabama won it.

Hughes is a beast for TCU, has to be mentioned up there with McClain and Berry as the best defensive players in the country.

I would like to say I feel bad for Weiss and Notre Dame but um no.

crold1
Based on actual results this year, TCU could be argued over Texas.
DJA
I could foresee about 15 guys getting significant Heisman votes, this is the most wide-open race I can remember. Anybody who has seen Stanford play has got to be impressed by Gerhart. Kid is a tank.

It is Ohio State-Michigan week and a stomping is imminent.
crold1
TCU got its first #1 vote in the Harris...this is such a fun little year.
PWillIsGod
Just goes to show what appeals to different people. This has been the most boring year in the 30 seasons I've closely followed College football.
KingofCrunk
I'm not sure TCU would be able to compete against Alabama or Florida, but their resume deserves to be compared with Texas, who probably can't compete either.

While Texas has slaughtered most of their opponents, the Big XII is certainly weak this season. When the team that gave them their most trouble was an injury ravaged Oklahoma, it's hard to say that they would be even Top 5 good in a year where the Big XII is strong. The Oklahoma State win looks okay, but we know that they were undermanned as well.

Admittedly BYU and Utah haven't shown that much more. At least they went out of conference and played a good team in Clemson. Louisiana-Monroe, Wyoming, UTEP, and UCF is a shameful schedule for a power conference team. The plus 1 should have been used as an after the bowls type of game rather than adding to the bowl system. I've always thought #1 and #2 should be determined after their bowl games and the regular tie-ins for those.

And I agree with Mark, this season has sucked a fat one. The Big East and Mountain West have given us the best late-season ranked matchups, I just don't know how to react to that yet. With Georgia and Auburn having down years, how many SEC top-20 games have we had? Two or three? Big 12 has given us Texas vs Oklahoma State and that's it. It's laughable.
holeymoley99
I think TCU would hammer Florida, the Gators have looked awful at times this season and have had trouble putting away the Arkansas of the world. Beating Bama would go a way toward making them legit but you simply cant write off all the eggs they have laid. I dont know if this is the most exciting year in a while but it is showing just how biased the media is with voting and who gets the hype. It will make the playoff talk that Obama promised to look into intensify.

Moore has ripped through everyone good and bad (Boise offered to play any squad on the road with no home game in return and how many offers have they received on it ? They are avoiding they are being avoided) unlike the Florida kid who has sucked against teams just as bad. McCoy plays decent against the bad teams not so much against any team with a pulse.

Doesnt take much to figure out what is going all but some are still fooled (Less and less though by the articles that are being written).
KingofCrunk
In comparison to past national champions, these Florida and Alabama teams are on the worse end of almost every comparison that could be made between teams that have played in the last 15-20 years or so. Without Harvin, Florida's offense is really stagnant. Cooper is their only threat at receiver and they aren't running the ball with any real consistency. McElroy is not a very good QB for Alabama, he's a drive killer in the red zone. I still don't think TCU would be able to score a lot of points on their defenses.

On the subject of a playoff...I don't want one. It'll draw the season out and then we'll get a lot of bitching about where the games are held and all that stuff. The number of spots will also be a factor. How do you differentiate between multiple at-large teams with one or two losses? It's almost the same as it is now. There's always going to be complaints. I'd definitely want it more than this, but if I had to choose I'd still want it to be different. I just want a real +1 game where the best two teams are voted upon after their bowl games. Don't draw out the season. Texas for instance won't have faced a real challenge until they head off to their destination. Not okay.

Chop it back to four huge bowl games, with two at-large bids. Pac-10 vs Big Ten in the Rose Bowl, Big XII vs. SEC in the Sugar, Big East vs. ACC in the Orange, two best BCS ranked at-large teams in the Fiesta. If a non-BCS team doesn't have one of the two best ranked at-large teams, get them into the Cotton Bowl against the best team you can find. Every year the same, vote afterward and get a title game two weeks later. This year the title game wouldn't be too glamorous, but it's better than handing a spot to a team that hasn't done much. They'd prove themselves.
TimC
This year has been a bit underwhelming.

Florida-LSU was one of those big time top ten prime time games and it was a dud.

Texas-Oklahoma was a bit of a dud with all the Oklahoma injuries.

Ohio State-USC was ok at best. Ohio State-Michigan again is not a big game.

I rag on the Big 12 a bit but last year it seemed like there were a lot more good Big 12 games. Seems is the wrong word, there just was, this year its been Texas and a bunch of nothing, last year you had the great Texas-OU game, Texas-Texas Tech, etc. This year, meh.

Boise has played one good team this year and moore didn't rip shit.

OSU-Michigan bores me to death.

Brandon Spikes is a beast, and Ingram should be in the lead for the Heisman throphy right now.

What y'all think about that Mangina coach? This fat fuck already looks like a racist, I say kick him out if the claims are true.

I hate coaches who think they have the right to talk down to anyone, I had my share. Fortunately my current coaches treat us like men.
sadbuttrue
Guy I played varsity basketball with in high school is a middle linebacker for Kansas now. Feel bad for that team if those rumors are true.

Alabama and Florida really going out of their way to challenge themselves today with Chattanooga and Florida Int.
TimC
Florida doesn't play anyone out of conference this year (unless you consider Fla. St somebody), we at least play one good team a year, Va. Tech this year, Clemson last year, Penn. St. next year.

I hate these games though. But one good out of conference game is all you're gonna get really.

Mark Ingram played a quarter and a half, 11 carries for 102 and two TD's, LOL watch somebody say he didn't put up good enough numbers

I'm not one of those people who are disgusted by fat people but seriously I'd have trouble respecting Mangino, dude's just out of control, how is he even still alive?

I feel you on the this. It's just awkward because they both have one in the same week this late in the season.

The Big 10 games are about as interesting as watching paint dry.

Oh my, this hurts to watch. Turnover # 6 for the day.
PWillIsGod
Rodriguez is a retard. The most painful thing is Ohio St refused to cover.
TimC
LSU-Ole Miss is gonna be a solid game I think.

Dexter McCluster is a beast, electric player, Jevan Snead on the other hand.

The Tigers' D was noticeably pissed after that 50 yard run by Mc Cluster. Nice start.

Michigan finishes dead last in the Big 11.

And the Big 11 pretty much sucks.

LOL at LSU being ahead, how did that happen?

Good game, I always switch to Wisconsin getting their ass kicked by Northwestern on another channel though.
