Is that Michael Moorer on the far left? Was he at heavyweight at the time this pic was taken? I know he cut a lot of weight to make 175, but he looks pretty damn big there.

Yea I'm not sure. He certainly looks solid but I think he was still light heavy here. I only remember the clean shaven dome Moorer at heavyweight. Can't tell what year this was taken but granted McClellan is here with Steward and Moorer looks to still be light heavy, I'm guessing 1990.
And Tyson does look damn small. Even 5'10 looks kind of a stretch.

Moorer, being closest to the camera, is going to look biggest. Could be an optical illusion to their relative sizes.

Man - if McClellan and Tyson hit it off and were allowed to hang out unsupervised, they could set a record for most felonies committed in a 24 hour period. Pure mayhem

Looking at this photo again, made me appreciate something. No matter how much I dislike Mike Tyson as a person, his shirt was a nice tribute to Cus.

Wow. that photo takes me back in time. I wonder if everyone in those photos wish they could go back in time to that place again. All three of those guys were dominant fighters. Don king used to give us 6 fights on a ppv at that time.

Wow Ice strong find.
I agree this picture is one that evokes a certain mood.
Strong cut on Mike as well. He is the last person on earth i would want to trade hands with in a straight one on one fade.
I will be sad when Don King dies. He is one of the most recognizeable charachters in the world, much less the world of sports. I know a fuckload of people who know absolutely dick about boxing, but of course they know who Don King is. I know he is a thief and a liar, but he has been around a long time and at least hes always been entertaining. Not like Hoya, who makes brain matter fall out of my ears when he fucking speaks with his high pitched iceskating cakeboy voice.

I remember years ago someone posted a picture of Lennox shadowboxing with Steward in the foreground with a goofy look on his face and his arm in a ghey-pose. I don't remember if someone photoshopped it or not, but in the ghey hand he was holding a chicken drumstick.
I tried searching for it but I couldn't find it.

I still dig that short that Spike Lee did on Tyson and King on HBO. That shit was bananas. The late 80's had a comet (Mike), a tragic hero (Gerald) and a what might have been (Moorer if he had really taken his heavy career serious).

MM was light Heavy in the pic. This was taken around 88/90 or so. I saw this pic years ago, did you get it from a ring magazine article ? MM was always a Hw but cut so much weight to make LW thats why he bombed out everyone he fought. Also people don`t know Tyson used to train occasionally at the Kronk gym.
I`m surprised a of people here have never seen Moorer as a LW, i have a few of his fights back then on VHS walking thru his opponents.
