I think Jay is all-time great, but what you're saying about Dre and Big Boi is absurd. Outkast has 4 hip hop classics (I don't count the double album and they kind of fell off with Idlewild). And as good as Jay-z was at his best, he wasn't as consistent as Outkast was and some of his albums haven't aged well at all(cough*Hard Knock Life*cough). I love Jay, but that's my opinion and that's that.

Um, I was just kidding but to say Jay's albums/music haven't aged well is MORE absurd. His catalog runs deep and if I were to bump Hard Knock Life anywhere, you'd see people's head nod immediately.

I'm actually a fan of both. But Jay IMO hasn't even fallen off as of yet. Dude still spits hot fire and produced the first subpar album since I don't even remember in his last album.

Money I'm listening to Aquemini right now and I'm reliving my second childhood right now. First album I ever bought that I actually loved and it is still a classic. Oh Yeah, Jay is still an all-timer and I can't imagine my high school years without him (though Nas is better and he beat him in their battle). I know this may not be the correct time, but fuck it, here is my top four (everything after four is a gray area for me)

That's all good, but I'm not bullshitting about Hard Knock Life. When I was fourteen I loved that shit, but man besides Ride or Die, Hard Knock Life, Money Cash Hoes, A Week Ago I really can't get down with the rest of it. (I was never that big of a fan of "Nigga What", and Ja Rule and Amil ruined "Can I get a" for me) I still think that Hard Knock Life is a very good album and I know most people will defend it because it's his most popular CD, but I don't think it is a classic (however Black Album, Blueprint and Reasonable Doubt are classics).

Reservoir Dogs was the hottest track on HK Life.

Wait a second-I can understand dudes hating on Stankonia, but Aquemini? In my opinion that is their best work. I think that ATLiens is a close second, but Aquemini gets more plays on the IPOD than ATLiens gets. I'm not saying that Aquemini is unquestionably their best work, but there is no doubt that it is a classic.
