This would be a hell of a scrap. Who wins?

DelaHoya on points...height,speed,and enough power that Simon couldnt just walk in without some respect.Simon would tighten up when he didnt have a stationary target....he would plod around and fight kind of stiff.

Oscar would show what a great champion he was here.

It's an interesting fight, and one I wouldn't really feel confident making a pick on.

I think DLH probably takes it on speed and skill with Brown having his moments. Brown was my favorite fighter of that era, but I think DLH might be too much for him

Are we talking 12 or 15 rds here ?

Ok, Let`s say DHL was trained for 15, because if he was in that era, he would have no choice. DHL could definately win by decision by throwing quick combos and giving Brown constant movment. If DHL does decide to trade he would get seriously whacked to the body. A lot of people forget how Simon had the ability to adjust to his opppnent`s style.

If Oscar stood in front of Brown, Simon would give him hell. However if used his legs, and jab, I think he'd be too quick for Brown and be able to pull out a decision.

Buddy McGirt and later Terry Norris at `54 showed the best way to handle Brown...Maurice Blocker also had Simon down on the cards going into the late rounds.Blocker wasnt on Oscar`s level.

Brown was so dehydrated, trying to make weight, for his fight with McGirt that he had to spend a few days in the hospital after the fight. Norris was a bigger, and all around, better fighter than Brown and DLH shouldn't even be considered in Norris' class. And Blocker and Brown were stablemates and very good friends. Brown was taking it easy on him, but by no means was he losing (I don't care how the judges had it).
