How much time is in one day to accomplish such a wide variety of viewing pleasures and also squeeze in the internet and XBox? Its uncanny.

I have wondered the same thing. But, I've wondered the same thing about a lot of the people on the maxboards. There are some well-rounded, smart folks around here.
I know a lot about a few things and a little about a lot of things. That's where it stops for me, but at least I'm cognizant of my limitations.

Aside from globe trotting excursions to photo shoots in exotic locations Nameless is planted firmly in The Control Center, a round padded basement room housing ten televisions, a computer, three gaming consoles, a well stocked mini-fridge, a microwave oven and an encrypted land line to his agent's office, where he spends ten months of the year contemplating the depths of popular culture.

I think I'd do pretty well. Over Christmas a bunch of people were playing this movie/t.v. trivia thing that they have on Cablevision on Demand and I dominated like a champ. Even if I didn't see the movie or show I seem to remember the pop culture trivia surrounding it.

I am 100000% serious when I say that we should rock that shit this year. I wanted to do it last year, but didn't even find out about it until the deadline for entering your team had passed.
Music and movies are definitely my strong suits, but general knowledge too, I guess. My weakness is definitely recent reality tv, MTV and pop music knowledge, but I can occasionally get by just because I wind up hearing about that stupid shit SOMEWHERE.
We watched The Fountain last night, and I'm still not quite sure what to think about it. I think that I like what the movie was TRYING to do, but it clearly suffered from getting its budget cut in half and less-capable actors in it than they originally had intended. Visuals were excellent and cinematography was pretty solid (a bit forced though), but the story just didn't really mesh IMO. It's worth a watch, but I don't have much interest in seeing it again.

I'd be a real asset to the team. Recent reality tv is my shit. I'm moderately intelligent, and I have a pretty solid understanding of timing and phrasing when it comes to delivery of comedic lines. Oh, and I've got that deep, southern draw that most American viewers find either endearing or annoying. Either way, they tend to listen.

Well from what I understand VH1 has some sort of online exam to test your worthiness to be on the show. I believe every year there is one team comprised of the 3 highest scorers across the nation. When they come out with the next one let's have a thread about it and talk about our team from there.

I'm certain there will be somebody from the maxboards who at the very least will get to talk to somebody at VH1 about being on that show. The talent pool here is just too deep for me to think otherwise.
Don't let Mike know we're planning to do this. He'll ruin it for the rest of us. One letter of correspondence from him to VH1, and the network will almost surely

I've heard nothing but great things about Enchanted. It's on my list to buy, definitely. I'm just bummed that Eastern Promises came out so early, since it stood a very good chance of snagging some Oscars...provided it had come out closer to December. No matter how great a movie, if it's released too early it will be largely forgotten come nomination time.

Did someone say Charles Bronson? Very few things, if any, are more entertaining than 80s Charles Bronson movies: Death Wish 2 and 3, Evil that Men Do, 10 to Midnight, Kinjite. Actually, 10 to Midnight's a pretty decent movie, although still unintentionally funny in plenty of scenes.
