'Heat' would've been such a good movie if De Niro had killed Pacino at the end instead of the other way 'round.
Surely we don't always have to have the "good guy" winning.

I hope they come up with a 2pac movie that does his story justice.
I was 18 when 2pac died and 19 when Biggie died. Because they were older than me at the time it didn't sink into me at the time just how short their lives were.
Watching this movie now at 31 it really hit home that these guys were just so young. Tragic. Both talented young men.

I read today that there will be another Mad Max flick made later this year.
Mel Gibson wont be in it. The director said he is too old and doesn't care too much about acting these days.

'My cousin Vinny' is a great film, the scene where he goes into the cell to see them for the first time since getting arrested is so well written.

Yeah that is the big argument with it and the book. I think it is open for interpretation on purpose. For me I always think most of it to be honest since some much of it is just such OTT violence to the point of almost comedy which would point to being the fantasies of a fucked up mind.

For American Psycho figured most of it was in his head. Its the only way I could explain the ending. I never read the book, is it work a gander?
I always hated the ending of heat. De Niro should have killed Pacino. Also one thing that always bugged me about Heat is that Henry Rollins would have totally kicked the shit out of Pacino.

Well what the fuck was that putrid-looking growth on Val Kilmer's left elbow in Heat? It added nothin to the storyline and seemed odd to have such a weird birthmark or injury with no explanation.

I like the book quite a bit but I'm a fan of Bret Easton Ellis, it can't touch Less then Zero, the Informers or Rules of Attraction IMO, def his 4th best work. The book is like the movie except the satire and stuff is a lot more drawn out and funny but so is the OTT violence to the point of almost being cartoonist and horrific. I would say if you can stomach reading that kind of stuff and take it for the point being made the rest of the book will more then satisfy you. Def much better then the movie which to be honest I only sorta like but find pretty boring.

always wondered myself. its really left up to interpretation which kinda sucks but I still enjoy the movie greatly. Haven't read the book but from research, the book doesn't offer up any more information as to if it was real or not.
I have to think most of it was in his head. Aside from the OTT violence, theres no possible way anyone wouldn't go to jail for the shit he does towards the end.

Any action/kung-fu flick fans? I just the the blu-ray movie Ip Man with Donnie Yen. It's a loosely based autobiography of Master Ip the first man to teach Wing Chun who happened to be Bruce Lee's master. It has some slow parts but I liked it more than Jet Li's Invincible. The fights were incredible.

Who said anything about me getting off a stool? One sweeping back slap would put an end to that. No doubt the speedy little bugger could land several shots before I got my hands on him. But it isn't as if he could do anything hurtful. Unless I was cast in his movie, then I would be a dead man.
