I know everyone has slept on a movie and when you finally get around to watching it you're like "damn, that was a fuckin good movie!!" and you want to talk about it with people but you realize you're super late and when you DO try to talk to people about it, they're like "dude, that movie is old" or "umm, i don't remember".

I saw Alpha Dog last night and damn, I was surprised at how good it was. It was based on true events and I was more surprised that Justin Timberlake was actually good and *gasp* Vargas wasn't that bad.

I've been doing a little research on the movie and will do a little more this morning but the whole situation was fucked up. Anyone else seen it or seen a older movie they want to talk about!??!?

I rented the movie to see how well Vargas and Timberlake act.  I give the movie a 5 on a scale of 1 to 10, but I was surprised at how well those two did.

Next time a do a B&E you can believe I will be taking a shit on the living room floor.

I thought Alpha Dog was good, don't see what was annoying about it?

300, man, you can never be late on that one. That movie is awesome.

It was definitely better than I thought but considering Casavettes did two films I thought were pretty good beforehand (John Q and the Notebook) I thought it would be better.

still fairly watchable

I thought Alpha Dog was a great movie.  I thought most of the acting was great except for Vargas.  Seemed kinda forced.

I saw Crash a few weeks ago and wasn't overly impressed. Maybe it was because I had high expectations, it was good, but Best Picture?! No.

I'm not a movie buff by any means, but I would like to think I know a great movie when I see one.

You're not alone. I thought Crash was a good movie but I don't think it's Best Picture type stuff.

I also didn't think The Departed was Best Picture either. I would say Crash has a better argument than the Departed.

Crash was stupid.
Never saw the Departed.
Have a Justin Timberlake ringtone that I didn't know about. Phone rang this morning and Sexy Back started playing.
Vargas is washed up and fat.

I tried to recently watch "Walk the Line". I think I have seen it, but didn't remember. Anyway, the movie sucks bawlz. Don't watch it. Boring.

Looked way more promising that it turned out.

Add Lil Miss Sunshine to the list too. Never has a movie been so overhyped.

that's actually the only part i remember from that generally unfunny movie.  if you ask me, grandma's boy > beer fest.  not even close, actually.  but neither are something that you 'have to see immediately'.

you won't.  'little miss sunshine' was actually enjoyable.  i picked it up having never heard of it (which probably helped) and thinking it was a drama.  i thought it was a good movie.

Little Miss Sunshine isn't bad at all. It's not great but it's a decent comedy.

watched Room with a View with a friend of the wife's who hadn't seen it before.
Still great after all these years.  Julian Sands really shit his career away.

Also Withnail & I remains one of the great films of all time.
War, Richard E Grant!

and playing Six Degrees, we can link Sands and Grant together in one step- Warlock!
I liked it when it came out, I should check it again.

I really enjoyed that flick.  Saw it in the theaters twice.  I'm waiting on getting an HDtv and HD-DVD player before getting this on dvd.
