yeah he was the reason they lost to the thunder last year but Steve A. Smith would have you believe that Kobe kept them in the series
man I hate and him and skip bayless

The reason the Lakers lost to the thunder last year was because they were inferior but I agree that Kobe (mr. never really been clutch but I just shoot the ball a lot so i'll make em every once in a while) did mess with their chemistry late in the games. Still, that's been his MO and sometimes, because of how good he is, they are fine for it. I don't think I would have ever been a Kobe fan anyway but if his fans weren't so deluded, I think I might like him a little more. He's an incredibly skilled offensive player, he's just got the decision making of a straight tard.

I'm taking the Chicago Bulls to win it all at 20/1 odds.

As long as Rose comes back and is even 80% of his normal self, they have a good chance to make it at least to the Eastern Finals.  The East is wide open, and the Knicks or Boston don't scare me at all.

If the Bulls can manage a 2, 3, 6, or 7 seed, they will avoid the Heat until the Eastern Finals.  If the can upset the Heat, I'd probably start hedging in the Finals against OKC.
Agreed, the Bulls could be scary if Rose comes back fairly strong.  Thibodeau is Coach of the year just for winning a game the other night without Rose, Noah, Boozer and Hinrich.

Lebron is playing at an incredible level this year. Dude should get the MVP award again. 56% shooting from his position is ridiculous and he's shooting over 40% beyond the arc. Somehow his shooting percentage has gone up every year for the past 7 years. As much as I was a Jordan fan and will admit that Jordan had a better killer instinct, I think Lebron could be a better overall player.

If Jack says TW will crush all the records, isn't that an obvious statement about how much better a player that TW is than Jack thinks he is himself?

That was a wonderful nonsense sentence-question.

I just saw an interesting stat. Since James entered the league Kobe has taken 525 more shots and Lebron has scored 86 more points. Bryant isn't even a better scorer. Comparing them is outlandish. Yay, rapist is a better free throw shooter!

the lakers making the playoffs is just saving face for the season. even with kobe, the lakers would have been one and done.  i dont know how kobe comes back from this, he was already slowing down to begin with.  maybe he can join miami.

They're a more dangerous team without Kobe. If that happened a month ago they could have gotten a higher seed and pulled off an upset. Oklahoma City is too much, but they're really going to come together. Most of those guys hate Kobe's guts.

They are without a doubt better defensively without Kobe.  He has long been a lazy defender but it is much worse under D'Antoni's "I can't think of anything better than playing Kobe crazy minutes" system.  I think they have a legitimate shot to beat San Antonio.

I bet on them. Gasol is money with the offense going through him.

Lakers over Spurs is a bold bet. Only question for me is if the Lakers are done in 5 or 6.

The West is insane. Even the 1-8 series is interesting.

LOL you think we all know Gasol does and the fact that he got 2 triple doubles with his absense SPEAKS VOLUMES ABOUT BRYANT but Espn
is so consumed with sucking his cock that they won't dare say it

With Steve Blake out the Lakers are officially done for the year.  I will never understand why they hired D'Antoni. Worst possible choice given the Lakers' roster.
