A lot of Catholic priests attend BYU also, so not just mormons go there.

Dubois?

Hit the east region perfectly. Missed eight games total in round 1 but only lost one sweet 16 team.

I went 27 - 5 in the first round, but I lost three Sweet 16 picks (G'Town, Louisville, Utah St).

President Obama went 29 - 3 in the first round, which puts him in the top 1% of Yahoo Pick 'Em.  He'd be in 160th place.

I had Pitt in the Final Four. Shoulda known better. Butler is one of those teams that seems to always do very well in the tourney.

That was not just and certainly wasn't poetic. Jamie Dixon is as bad as a stategist as he is good as a program builder/recruiter.

That had nothing to do with strategy.  He told his guy to foul to the same extent Stevens told his guy to foul on the sideline.

He told his guy to foul with 0.8 seconds left when the score was 70-70?  I highly doubt anyone is that dumb.

Duke vs Michigan today, DMex.

My bracket was looking so good after the first round, then my luck ran out.  In the Southeast, I'm completely wiped out.

He should have explicitly told his guy not to foul. Or told his guys to stay on the otherside of the halfcourt stripe. I would say that every single time there was a timeout Butler would get the best of the ensuing play. You have the ball with 34 seconds and a one point lead. Your team is in a decent offensive flow. Not a great flow, but the best you have been in in the second half. You call a timeout to instruct Gibbs to dribble fifteen seconds off the clock and pass into a corner trap. Shotclock violation. Horrible. Terrible. Horseshit.

Maybe he did tell him not to foul, how do you know?  Or an assistant may have told him.   Coaches usually don't throw kids under the bus.  What he also probably didn't tell him to do was not try to rebound a miss.  The thing that is forgotten here is that the score was tied after the miss, Pitt wasn't ahead.  Kid went for the rebound to get another shot or a tip.   He should have laid off as Howard got the rebound.

Fisher can whip that chump school in his sleep. Business as usual, too bad Chaney isn't around anymore. Steve owned that clown.

Temple always blows games. Poorly coached, underachieving band of misfits.

Chaney got owned.  Whenever he lost he insulted kids, tried to choke opposing coaches, or sent his players out to hurt his opponents and what that did that get him?  Consistent second round chokes.

Is that unfunny adulterer Bill Cosby still hanging around their games?

I know that he didn't tell him explicitly enough because the kid fouled. He shouldn't have even been on the blocks.
The two possessions before that both came after timeouts. Pitt got a shotclock violation, Butler got an easy layup. Dixon sucks as a strategist in big spots.

But fuck Duke, we have never agreed on anything more than that.

based on what exactly?  chaney was a very controlling person so it limited the recruits he was able to get.  as far as actually coaching the talent he had, he was certainly better than calipari or fisher.  calipari has yet to win shit despite having all the top recruits each year.

blah, blah, blah.  Recruiting is part of being a coach.  Calipari built UMASS too, in case you forgot.  Chaney's great bench coaching made him king of the 14 loss season and second round flameout.   Wow.
