I just saw 300 and I have never been more disappointed in a movie. I had to turn it off after an hour or hour in a half. One of the dumbest movies I have ever seen.

You're the first person I have heard that's trashed that movie.  I thought it was okay, but not worthy of the praise it seems to receive on this message board.

I never cared for him as a rapper. But Gridlock'd is a dope movie. Pac and Roth are both awesome in it.

Great movie.  Pac showed true potential as an actor in that movie.

What was the last part you saw. Even though I liked the movie a good deal, I remember it being slow progressing when I first saw it.

When they finished fighting off the second wave. The battle scenes were so horrible. Slow doesn't bother me nearly as much as stupid. I hated the special effects and really everything to do with it.

I know I am in the minority. I haven't heard of anyone else that didn't love it. But I would surely have walked out of the cinema if I saw it there.

Truly terrible stuff in my eyes.

laugh.gif I never go to the theatre and I hate horror movies. Thanks for the warning, but I was safe from that.

Was it worse then Hostel?

Yes, and I wasn't sure if I'd ever find anything worse than Hostel.

Maybe it's just a trend, but the comedies seem to be getting better while the horror movies just get worse and worse.

I'm laughing harder at movies now than I ever.

But fuck comedy and horro.

Give me Casino, Heat, The Departed, movies along those lines are my favorite.

Just watched Crank w/Jason Statham over the weekend. I wasn't expecting much (I saw the horrendous War recently) but was pleasantly surprised. A bit of over-the-top action that wasn't as unbelievably ridiculous as the Transporter 2, good comic relief, and didn't have a 'Hollywood' ending.

I was this close to picking that up this week but I went with Lucky Number Slevin instead (Which I haven't watched yet). I'll pick this up next time (or are they passing it on cable already?). Plus, I love Amy Smart.

Crank was one of the better mindless action films I've seen in recent years.

Funny, exciting, entertaining, plus I got to check it at the Arclight, which was extremely pleasant.

No it's at Blockbuster but if you have Starz this might already be on that. I dunno though. Lucky Number Slevin thumbsup.gif

I finally saw SuperBad last night, and I agree that it's the funniest movie of the year (maybe of the last few years).  Knocked Up is decent enough, but doesn't come close to SuperBad.

Saw a real old movie last night, Boiler Room. My friend had recommended a while back and I picked it up at Circuit City for $4.99 a couple months ago. Finally watched it Friday night and I was pleasantly surprised. I loved it. Watched it again last night cuz the wifey hadn't seen it.

Jet Li's Fearless. Flew under the radar for me. I really liked it. Nice tale of friendship and loyalty.

The Wicker Man. Liked that it didn't have a Hollywood ending. Some creepy moments too. Lacked a little something though.

The Pledge with Jack Nicholson. My God what an awesome movie.

It's not one of those Hollywood blockbusters that I'm just discovering, but I'd like to give praise to a movie I've liked since I was a little kid.

Wargames.

Such a slept-on movie.  Fun to watch as a kid with the video game factor.  Cool for computer nerds (especially now to see Matthew Broderick's set up in his bedroom).  Also a war movie to some extent.

Greatness.  I might go home and watch it tonight.

I thought Superbad had funnier parts, but the pace of the movie wasn't as good. It seemed to slow down shortly after those cops enter the scene. It picks up more toward the end. Knocked Up was a little more consistent with the pace/humor.

I thought Superbad was mediocre at best, and Knocked Up was good.Too many downright pathetic stereotypes for my taste.I'm not saying stereotyping doesn't make for great comedy, but in this case it was just too corny for the most part.

Better question:

Why the fuck would you watch Drumline in the first place?
