Tim Thomas got abused by Nowitzki in the WCF's last year.

I'm not too optomistic about the mavs two games into the season. sad.gif

yeah, its all kwame's fault...
i mean kwame is the star of the team
he's the man..hes the go to guy..the franchise player
he's the one that carries them..

you want the ball in his hands with the game on the line
rolleyes.gif

i know...again, phil took responsibility....it wasnt kobe's fault
he wanted to get his teamates involved instead of taking over
the game like oh i dont know, MJ? dry.gif

My pick out the East still bothering you?

I just think the Cavs will get there, that's just my opinion.

It's not crazy neither, least I don't think so. The Pistons were taken to the brink by the LeBrons who had his first playoff run. This without a healthy Larry Hughes, though not elite, is a good scorer and very good perimeter defender. They also lost Ben Wallace and replaced him with Nazr Mohammad (enough said). Sheed is horridly inconsistent.

The Heat are/were a one and done team. I just do not see them getting to the finals with the squad they have right now with NO offseason moves of note. Walker is such a liabilty on BOTH ends of the floor, Payton can't keep up with the young guns anymore, Shaq has an inability to consistently get up and down the floor, Williams can't guard anybody. They put it all together last year despite these problems, which is why they won't do it again. They're old.

Nah man. I just can't see how Jalen Rose is a waste of a roster spot. The man is a proven player and big time clutch shooter. Except for when he blew a lay up against Arkansas in the regionals.

Any team in the league could use Jalen in some capacity.

Point taken.

A waste of a roster spot was a bit harsh, but I think he'll be a liability in that offense. Rose is really effective in the halfcourt, but the suns hardly ever run it. I would have liked to see his talents being used more and he won't get much run in Phoenix I don't think.

I will say that he'll have his effect in the playoffs when things slow down a bit.

Yes he would. Depending on his "in game" shape, he could be running the point in Miami right now...

He can run. I would be surprised if he didn't play at least 20 minutes a night. You got a guy that can play three positions.

It still kills me that Webber didn't just pass the ball to him against NC. Fab five was my alltime favorite team so i am biased. But Rose is a great player to have coming off the bench for any team.

What's this "fab five" you're referring to? I mean they don't have any banners or anything...

But yeah, we'll see about Rose. If the Suns win this year, he'll be the first fab five guy, and the only one to ever get a ring. Diappointing, I know a lot had high hopes, especially for webber. I think he'd have multiple rings if Orlando didn't swap picks to get Penny in that draft.

Winning championchips in team sports is not easy. They were among the better college teams of all time. C Webb's lack of a championchip rests  on the shoulders of Doug Fucking Christie. If Bibby takes that shot the Lakers lose.

suns aint winnin jack without amare...that run and gun style doesnt work in the playoffs when you have a great defensive team like the spurs that can shut you down...they play halfcourt and the game is over...

fab five freddy> fab five...lol

wave i agree.. dumbest fukin trade in the history of the draft... u had shaq and webber on the same team with scott skiles as point... scott skiles shits on penny as a point guard.... if u got shaq on your team, WHY DA HELL WOULD U NEED A SG PLAYING THE POINT? worst trade ever..... skiles set the nba record for assists in a game with 30 and this was bfore shaq when all orlando had was scott and anderson....  and the fab five were great, they just crashed in the championship game twice... i know they would have won it in 94 and 95 if they all had stayed together...

let's not forget they did beat ucla in a close game in 93(controversial game over a shot clock violatin that wasn't really controversial at all) and ucla went on to win it all in 95(the addiction of toby bailey didn't hurt)...

Todd Day was back in the UNLV days. If you want to mix teams up I'll take Glen Rice instead of Ray jackson.

I loved the Day & Lee Mayberry backcourt. Fat ass Oliver Miller in the middle. They choked against Duke but that team was nice for sure.
