Ravens will get steamrolled in the Superbowl.

I give them credit for taking it to teams like Indy, Denver, and NE in the playoffs, but they were all relatively finesse type teams.  The 49ers will smack them in the mouth and it will be over by halftime.  An old Ravens defense vs a young, speed-based offense, with a behemoth Oline that averages 6'5" 318lbs on the Superdome turf?  No chance.  Those AFC playoff teams were tailor-made for the Ravens D to succeed, but they will get dominated on Superbowl Sunday.

SF 49ers -3.5 will look like a joke.

I'd love to see that.  Because I hate the Ravens.  (Made an exception this past weekend because I hate Brady and NE worse).  I think this is going to be close through at least the end of the first half.  I like SF in this, but I tend to think it will be a close game.  If SF pulls away, it will be in the second half.  I think that the SF O-line will start to wear down the Ravens D.  I also don't think that B-more is going to be able to consistently cover Vernon Davis.  Kaepernick had drawn some criticism for not going to Davis more, but he showed against Atlanta that if his receivers are covered he'll go to Davis.

the 49ers secondary can be had and Flacco is throwing the ball well to say the least
I can't believe a QB in his 10th start can win the SB over a 5 year starter with 6 road playoff wins

I'll take Flacco all day in this match up and Ed Reed is too great not to wear a ring

He may be throwing the ball well, but he'll be under VERY heavy pressure from SF.  Sucka Free's D did a fine job against Aaron Rogers.  And they shut down the Falcons after the first half.  I wouldn't bank on them getting torched again.  But even if Flacco can burn them on some deep passes here and there, I don't think that's what Baltimore needs to win this one.  SF's offense can control the ball and if the only scores that Baltimore gets come quick, then that aging defense will be out on the field getting worn down by a great offensive line and a power running attack.

Nothing is wearing that defense down, I read the same shit before the last game. We brutalized SF physically last year, they're the ones that need to bring it.

You're not exactly psychic. I use we for every game. That's an entitlement that comes with spending around $15,000 on tickets.

I'm still shocked San Fran abandoned the pistol on the goal line, but without the power outage that game is a Ravens-Giants type rout IMO.  The Raven could well have won the last two SB's (of course, Lewis might have retired last year if they had).

Kaep played like what he really is for too much of the game: a hyper talented rookie.  I think the 49ers risked a lot this year in going with him over Smith for the stretch.  Smith played well enough to get them there last year (kicker uugh) and they could have used a veteran in some key spots last night (the early stretch, the missed chance for a TO on the last stand).  They made the right call for the future though because Kaep's ceiling is so much higher.  If they can avoid getting raided on the free agent market, have to think the 49ers will have more chances.  The Seahawks, 49ers and Rams (who are slowly coming together) are going to make the NFC West special the next few years.

Props to Flacco.  Two amazing post-seasons in a row and he earned his big $ coming.

Who will be the next guy who gets written off too early for some early post-season struggles and in-season learning curves?  My pick for that is Andy Dalton.  Having a stellar D and talent around you makes for room to grow. There's a reason so few guys get to the promised land early.  Takes time to learn the craft.

Flacco has learned.

Dalton has a great weapon in Green, but I have little faith in the Bengals to do much of anything right on a long term basis.  Too bad, because I think Dalton could be a top QB.

Sorry you lost money. This was one time you should have listened to me. I can't believe I pulled out of my season long 4 figure hole.

We have to cut salary before Flacco's contract. Maybe Boldin will take a pay cut, that would be great because there is no way we would have won without him. Jones either and he's gone. Reed & Krueger are probably gone and we'll lose some CB's too. I think Ellerbe is going to get singed.

Yeah, I've seen Joe get it down the field pretty easily. Can't say I've been wowed by his arm strength on the tight passes but I don't watch a lot of Ravens games. Cam's got one of the bigger arms out there though.

Flacco is like Greg Maddux. Not a powerful arm, but he puts the ball in the right place to keep it away from defenders. If he connects on a long pass, it's usually because the receiver is wide open, slowing down to come back to the ball.

He isn't as accurate on 15-20 yd throws but he can absolutely rifle the ball.
