Dang..the days of Prime Cotto. MAB. Lightweight Pac, Lightweight JMM. Acelino Freitas. Baby Joe Messi. Arturo Gatti-May he RIP. Mickey Ward. Jermain Taylor. etc etc. I even had a paid subscription with MaxBoxing for their interview and post fight analysis. Where did everyone go?

Yeah, I was wondering what happened to this place. I've just started getting back into boxing and was surprised that this place is now dead. Where did everyone go? I sometimes post on the Reddit boxing subreddit or Sherdog's boxing forum but both aren't as busy as this place was back when I joined in 2007.

SKim got so drunk at a boxing event he was covering, he pissed his pants standing in line trying to interview one of the fighters.  Mark Ortega was there and saw it happen, began giggling about it and discussing it on this messageboard.  When Gabe saw the posts making fun of Kim, he began threatening to ban a bunch of folks, then finally just shut that place down altogether.  Those shit sticks need to develop a sense of humor.

Ah, it was a thing of beauty in it's heyday. A first rate way to kill time and get to know some cool people. It may be dead now, but I'm glad it's still up for viewing when I get nostalgic. I'm gonna be 30 in two years, and I can still find posts on here from when I was 20. It's rare to find such well preserved time capsules like that!

I was posting on boxing forums from the late-90s to about 2006.  This forum used to be so busy that I didn't bother posting on it.  

Boxing had a golden era in the 90s and early 2000s.  And, as ever, golden eras are led by the heavyweight division.  They have always said that when the HW division sneezes, boxing catches a cold.  Well, the HW division has been in a coma for the past 8 years.  Fans have abandoned the sport in droves.  Including me.
