Just to clarify, everyone, as enticing as Eaner's bunghole is in most any situation or configuration, Eaner thinks Rush is bad.  As in, not good.

I'd put Dinosaur Jr. up there among the best 3-piece bands i've ever heard.

Good call, forgot about them. The Melvins were pretty good as well, but a little sludgy for my taste.

Eggs would have to be possessed by the devil to want any part of your bunghole.

I'm not a huge fan, but a fan. They were constantly opening shows for Tool in the 90's, so I've seen em live a number of times. They put on a good show.

As for Rush, I like em. I can't listen to em for all that long and Geddy Lee's vocals get on my nerves after a bit. but they have a lot of talent and they're fun to rock for a bit.

I don't like Rush that much (although I appreciate their technical skills), but Rush in Rio is one of the best concert dvds ever.  The crowds in Brazil are OFF THE CHAIN.

how so? I'll admit i'm STILL sleeping on rush, but yes was effing amazing in a different era; "Fragile" is one of my favorite albums, ever.

That whole story is hilarious. Their publicist contacted them about playing in Brazil and they seriously wondered if they had any fans there. 80,000 people in a violent electrical storm. Rush is always better live than on any studio recording. Anyone that doesn't worship Rush is mired in ignorance and severely lacking in taste.

Yeah, all the big metal bands in the 80's talked about how many fans attended concerts in Brazil.  Selling out soccer stadiums and what not.  I recently saw a dvd performace of Iron Maiden in Brazil.  There was an ocean of fans, and they sang every word to every song.

Those are usually big festivals, not one band concerts.

Rush only plays alone and they drew huge for two straight days there. Like 170,000 or so combined in horrific weather.

They stopped having opening acts decades ago.

If they come around my neck of the woods, I'll definitely be there.

While Tom Sawyer, Red Barchetta, YYZ and Limelight are concert staples, The Camera Eye, Witch Hunt and Vital Signs would be very cool to see, especially together.

*Moving Pictures is cool but I'd love to see em' perform Permanent Waves in its entirety. It's always been a toss-up between Jacob's Ladder and Natural Science as to which is my favorite RUSH song.

I've seen them play all of the songs you mentioned. But it's been a while for some of them. I think this will be my 30th Rush show, but I'm not sure of the exact count.

I'd like to see them play their first album above any other. There are at least 4 songs on there that I've never heard live. Maybe because it's before Pert.
