True Romance comes to mind...  that movie is BAAAAAaaaadass

Man, I didn't even know that was Gary Oldman until I saw his name in the credits and I was like "WHAT?!!?". I sometimes just watch that movie for that scene with him and Christian Slater in the whorehouse.

Ugh, I saw that one too. It actually started out pretty okay but by the middle, it was bad. So may plot holes and a lot of stuff just didn't flat out make sense. They really should've put more thought into the script and story.

We started watching Zodiac last night but I fell asleep 15 mins into it. Not that it was boring, but I was just beat. I'll watch it today.

Funny thing about that movie. I saw it at the theater when it came out with my friend, Kyle, who had just eaten an eighth of shrooms in the parking lot. I was totally into the movie when, with about fifteen minutes left, Kyle starts freaking out and making a scene, forcing me to escort him from the theater before someone calls the cops. So I missed the final climactic scene (which all my friends assured me was badass) and still haven't watched it to this day. In fact, I have the DVD sitting on the rack right now and I just cannot bring myself to finish it.

Heartbreak Ridge. haven't seen it in years. Knew I liked it, but I liked it even more then I remembered.

As many funny lines as any noncomedy in history.

Watched Cruise & Nicholson go at it on A & e as well.

Tom Cruise is one of the most underrated actors ever. Truly great, and he doesn't get enough credit for it.

I can't say he's the greatest. But he sure does pick the right projects to be in. His body of work is just amazing.

I don't like everything he's been in but i dare you to find another actor that's been in that many quality flicks.

Just look at someone like Deniro. For every Goodfellas, Casino, Heat etc.. there's Showtime, 15 minutes, The Score etc.

The Score> Heat & Deniro is clearly the greatest. He has made so many fucking movies there is bound to be shit. plus he is an old man. He has been in at least 30 or 40 quality flicks

Tom has a couple of shitty ones. But I like at least 90% of his movies and he is far from out of place sharing the screen with Hoffman's and Nicholson's.

I actually think Cruise should have won an award for Rain man.

Dude i'll disregard the Score > Heat comment.

But all i'm saying is Deniro was in Rocky & Bull Winkle. Nuff said.

I'm not doubting his greatness. Just saying he's been in some shitty flicks.

I like the fact that Deniro has played so many diverse rolls. The fact that he can do the Rocky and Bullwinkles and Hide and Seeks and still make Goodfellas and Raging Bull and Taxi Driver just shows how great on actor he is. He's never been typed cast.

Cruise is one of my fav actors. I have almost all his movies on dvd and even his bad flicks are still watchable.

I didn't hate the fan. Not saying it was good. Ronin was decent until the 45 minute car chase that made the whole thing suck.

City by the Sea was awful and I haven't seen Godsend.

Stardust. I saw it with my girl. The movie was actually really good. The entire board can call me a fag but it was an adult fairy tale that didn't take itself too seriously and had a really good story.

Yes, I rented it a few years back.  I agree, it was better than I had anticipated.  Entertaining at the time but can't remember much about the storyline now.  I guess it isn't memorable.

If you like suspense/thrillers, ever see Dead Again (1991)?

Excellent flick, IMO. Not so much that the acting was the best ever, but the story was very well written and it was basically entertaining.

Hauler at Big Trouble in Little China.

I just saw 300 the other night too, by the way. DAMN was that a badass movie.

Just watched Pan's Labarynth last night. I was disappointed to say the least. Some great visuals, could have been two separate movies. Not enough fantasy, a bit predictable, and a bit insulting.

I watched Musa The Warrior yesterday.

I like how the various characters develop during the movie and even though it's a bit cheesy at times I really digged the movie.Had some good fighting sequences as well.

My rating: 8/10

I thought it was a pretty decent movie. It's in spanish (has subtitles, but you don't need em obviously) and it kinda takes a different turn than most kinda "dark fantasies" that come out here. I enjoyed it though and it's worth a watch. Just don't expect a really feel-good type of movie.

Frank Miller did an excellent job bringing the graphic novel to the screen and the visuals were just great. I wasn't sure how much I would dig a highly fantasized movie based on historical events, but it was awesome.

If we're playing movie soundtracks/scores, I'd say Platoon probably takes the cake in terms of gut-wrenching-ness.

Watched DeJa Vu with Denzel Washington and Val Kilmer last night.

I have go to say I actually enjoyed this movie. I had never really heard of this movie until I saw it at the video store and I'm a HUGE Denzel fan so I had to see it. I recommended it. It isn't completely original but it does have a lot of unique things.
